The proprietor of myfamilymusic.com is Michael Mark, a musician, songwriter and performer who has spent the last forty years trying to learn and perform every song ever written.  Michael has spent time on Broadway, on TV, on the concert stage and in the classroom, sharing his love of music with every kind of audience imaginable.  Now Michael has created this website to share his love of music with your love of music.

WHAT WE'RE SHARING
If you are looking for out-of-the-way artists (including Michael himself) who are not known on the world stage, this is a great place to shop.  If you are looking for music that will serve you indispensibly in the classroom, this is a great place to shop.

THE SHORT LIST
You will never find a very long list of artists here.  Our interest is putting forth a brief and slowly evolving roster of songwriters/performers who give simple, pure enjoyment to their audiences with their artistry, humor, musicianship.  if you are an aficionado, you may know these folks.  But if you are a general music lover, looking for a small venue to shop for non-commercially publicized music, you've found your place.

WE'RE NEW AND EVOLVING
This is a new website.  As of 1/1/09, we are starting our mission by introducing the music of Tom Chapin.  We’d like to see a matched set of Tom’s CD’s in every home in America with 4- to 10-year-olds.  Tom already enjoys a significant following, but we know that there are still people who have yet to experience the unique fun and substance of Tom’s songs.  Take a look, take a listen, and let’s get going!
